SYNOPSIS

 

For almost 150 years, a mysterious libretto for a Passion oratorio has been the subject of Bach research. Harpsichordist, conductor and Bach researcher Alexander Grychtolik has reconstructed and completed this non-existing Passion oratorio on the basis of Picander´s libretto as Bach might have composed it. Performed by Il Gardellino, conducted by Alexander Grychtolik, at the Thüringer Bachwochen.
