During the night of July 16th, 1918, Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and his wife and five children were massacred by the Bolsheviks in Yekatarinburg, a town in the Urals. Their remains found long afterwards in a forest, were buried with pomp and ceremony in 1998. But is this what really happened? Newly declassified material led the filmmakers to believe that only the Tsar was executed. The Russian Orthodox Church keeps its distance and a dental surgeon finds out that the remains don´t correspond with the files of any treatment of the Tsar´s family. Experts include Dr. Emil Agadzhanyan, Dental Surgeon and Historian, Hélène Carrere D´Encausse, Historian, French Academy, Marc Ferro, Historian, Prince Michael of Greece, Cmdt. Sylvain Hubac, Chief of Genetics, French Gendarmerie and Alexei Obolenski, Historian.
